National Foster Care Awareness Month

May is National Foster Care Awareness Month

Because every child deserves a bright future.

May is National Foster Care Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness of the current need for foster parents. With over 391,000 children in foster care in the United States, there is a critical need for foster parents and loving homes.

National Foster Care Awareness Month is also a time to recognize foster parents everywhere and those supporting children to heal and grow. Foster parents do so much more than give a child a home. They’re advocates, teachers, and family to the children they care for. With the help of our caring staff, foster parents, who we call Mentors, provide the support children need to thrive, wherever their life journeys take them.
