Words From Our South Carolina Foster Parents
“We really value South Carolina Mentor because they’re always there for us. Our coordinator checks in often to take the time to listen, even when we just need to talk things through. In therapeutic foster care, the kids can face big challenges, but we’ve always felt heard and supported. South Carolina Mentor makes sure we have what we need, from resources to encouragement, and that means everything.”
"As a Mentor Foster Parent, I have witnessed firsthand the Agency's outstanding commitment to the community and those that they serve through its outstanding staff and administration. They demonstrate their commitment by being there when we call and will drive the extra mile when needed. I've been a foster parent off and on for a total of about 20 years. I've been with Mentor for a total of about 15 years. Even when I stop fostering, when I'm ready to return, to come back to Mentor."
"I foster because making a difference in a child’s life, even in small ways, is one of the most meaningful things I can do. Every child deserves someone in their corner. I stick with South Carolina Mentor because they are always in my corner, being supportive, responsive, and genuinely focused on what’s best for the kids."
